AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): The Joint Movement Committee of terminated 10323 teachers staged protest on Wednesday over Yesterday's Police brutality on the students who set in agitation infront of Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's house on Tuesday. The committee of terminated teachers massively criticised the brutal act of police, beating and harassing the minor students and asked government to stop taking such unconstitutional and inhuman actions soon.
While addressing media teacher Kamal Deb said, "The inhuman act that whole state have witnessed yesterday was completely unconstitutional. Without taking the examination who can they declare them failed? The students only wanted to talk to the Minister, but instead of talking to them he sent police to beat and harass them. In a democratic state the students have right to raise their voices. We have taught them for 7-8 years and now seeing such inhuman behaviour against them is very disheartening."
They also condemned the role of police across the State. Asked Biplab Deb Government to stop behaving unconstitutional and inhuman. The Joint Movement Committee also demanded to review the TBSE Madhyamik and HS result as early as possible.
