AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): Political Action Committee (I-PAC) of poll strategist Prashant Kishore's team is reportedly on a week-long visit in Tripura, Times of India has reported. As per the report, Prashant Kishore will take the ground report and also work with influential political leaders in the state. At the same time, Trinamool is also preparing to make a base in Tripura and most likely to fight the upcoming local body polls under the Municipal bodies. Trinamool Tripura President Asish Lal Singha has claimed over a lakh of people have joined Trinamool party and many more will join soon. The report came amid speculations that a larger portion of the BJP MLAs might quit the party and the crisis has gone on its peak in the BJP.

Political strategist Prashant Kishore also had reached Kolkata on Wednesday to participate in the Martyrs’ Day rally led by the Trinamool Congress in remembrance of the 13 people who were killed at a Youth Congress rally in 1993. The TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was then the leader of the Youth Congress.

In that programme, Mamata Banerjee had mentioned Tripura is under trap of BJP's Dictatorship. She also condemned Trinamool workers' arrests in Tripura during Martyrs day observation.
