AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Placing the demand of 125th Amendment Bill's passing in the next Parliament Session, CPI-M's tribal wing Ganamukti Parishad (GMP) held a protest in Agartala.
Addressing media, GMP President Jitendra Choudhury who is speculated as CPI-M's next CM candidate has said, "The BJP and IPFT which won the Election in 2018 with promise of including Kokborok under the 8th Schedule of the constitution. Another promise, which is indeed the biggest promise of the BJP-IPFT was that 125th Amendment Bill of the constitution will be passed. So many bills have been passed in the last few years going against the farmers, youths of our country but there is no such intention to pass this bill........We demand that the 125th Amendment Bill should be passed in the next Parliamentary session".
