AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday has informed that at least 130 schools were converted into English Medium Schools from Bengali Medium schools.

He said this decision is crucial with the changing situation and preparing students as per the demand of the time. 

"Till 2018, our state had only 127 English Medium schools but in the last 3 years the numbers of English Medium schools have increased to 257. It means 130 Schools have been remodeled into English Medium Schools from Bengali Medium. The headmasters and incharges of the schools are being trained and the programme started from today for the capacity building of the teachers", said Ratan Lal Nath.
