AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): With ‘Ulta Rath’ yatra, the 7 days long Ratha Yatra festival has ended on Tuesday.
The idols of the Gods were brought back to the Jagannath temples in Agartala. In other places also, the same ritual was observed with traditional destinations.
In Iskcon also, it was celebrated with full devotion.
But due to COVID-19 this year, gathering remained restricted.
The festival marks the annual journey of the three deities - Lord Jagannath, his brother Bhalabhadra and sister Subhadra.
As a part of the observance of the auspicious Rath Jatra festival, the main programme was observed at Melagarh.
Prior to the traverse, all the priests have performed their rituals as per the tradition in the Jagannath Bari temple at Agartala.
