AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): In shocking information, it has been known that a terminated 10323 teacher named Gudrupada Debbarma is now in Bangladesh jail who was arrested while working in his own land at the Border area with valid papers with them. Today "Amra 10323" organization members placed a deputation to the DGP in this regard. Talking to media, one of the members of "Amra 10323" organization said, "On 26th February, at Khowai Lengarabari area at 27 Number Gate our GT Teacher Gurupada Debbarma along with his cousin brother were cultivating on his land. His permission copy was given to the BSF there but after some time BGB took him and handed him over to Srimangal PS and then after procedure they were sent to jail near Srihatta".
"They are jailed with allegations of crossing the border illegally. After they were produced before the Court, the Court had permitted police for their release by following some procedures and most like some fines were imposed upon them. But the procedure has to be started by Indian Govt. Gurupada Sir's family many times had written to CM and also met DM West but they are still in jail as Govt has not taken initiative to bring them in this country", she said.
"Without any guilt, the teacher is jailed in Bangladesh, even though the Bangladesh Court has released him. What kind of guardian is ruling the state ? Where are we living ? What should be the role of the State and the nation towards their citizens ?", asked the 10323 teachers' organization members.
The organization further demanded immediate release of the arrested teacher from Bangladesh jail with help of Tripura Govt.
