AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Two youths from Badarpur, Assam were detained along with brown sugar. They were arrested on Sunday in Lamajuar area under Badarpur police station in Karimganj district of Assam. The suspects are Shakil Hossain and Kawsar Uddin. Assam police said both of them are from the North district.

According to Assam police sources, two young men left for the state in a passenger car with brown sugar inside six soap boxes from Silchar. Passenger vehicles come from Silchar to Badarpurghat inter-state checking area. From there, another passenger left for Karimganj with six boxes of brown sugar in a traveler car. Just then, on the basis of secret information, the police of Badarpur police station chased the passenger bus and went to Lamajuar in Badarpur area and arrested two youths and seized the Brownsugar.

At present, Assam Police is interrogating two youths arrested at Badarpur Police Station. The detainees will be handed over to Karimganj court on Tuesday, Badarpur police said.
