AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): The law and order of the capital city Agartala is under a big question mark as theft, robbery have turned a routine incident in this city. The situation of Agartala itself is the clue what is the condition across the entire state under Home Ministry of Biplab Deb. However, where the law and order situation has gone in the Agartala city, it was once again revealed after Chandan Saha's shop was looted by thief on last night amid Weekend Curfew, whose shop is located in the middle of West Agartala Police Station and West Agartala Women Police station. Question raises, if theft is possible in middle two police stations of Capital city Agartala, what is the most secure place in Tripura ? Moreover, West Agartala PS is considered as the biggest police station in Agartala.
The victim shop-keeper said that he started using double-locks in doors since his shop was looted in 2020 during the lockdown. He told media, "Last year two times my shop was looted burdening me with loss of Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 13,000. On that time, police had shown much interest to solve the case and told me that police will do their best to identify the thief. Later a CCTV footage was recovered where the thief's movement was caught. That footage was brought to me and police asked, whether I know that man or not but I could not identify the man. I didn't get any compensation also. Today also same incident's repetition occurred. One of my friends called me at around 7 am in the morning and informed about the theft incident......I demand justice this time. How in front of two big Police stations such an incident can happen ?"
