AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): In an anti-drug operation Bishalgarh Police destroyed cannabis seedling at various places in Bishalgarh.
On Saturday, the police of Bishalgarh PS and anti-narcotics division conducted an anti- drug operation along with the entire state and destroyed cannabis orchards at several areas in Bishalgarh. Bishalgarh PS, SDPO Taposh Kanti Pal, Bishalgarh PS OC Debashish Saha and a large number of police and TSR forces were present in the operation and destroyed several cannabis orchards in Chelikhla, Rangapania and surrounded areas under Bishalgarh PS
Bishalgarh PS OC Debashish Saha said the state police have been conducting anti-drug drives across the state and such operations will be continued. In the joint operation the Police destroyed 70,000 cannabis seedlings.
However, the police could not arrest anyone in this operation.
