AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): On one side Covid curfew has been imposed in the state and on the other side illegal liquor traders are rampantly continuing liquor selling. After conducting raids in various parts of the city, Maharajganj Bazar police arrested 2 youths for being involved with liquor selling amid weekend curfew.
The Magarajganj Bazar outpost Police team conducted an anti-liquor, drug raid at Maheshkhala, Pratapgarh, Basak Para, Golbazar and various other parts and busted liquor peddlers from Golbazar area.
Around 200 bottles foreign liquor were seized by police and seized bottles were brought to the PS. In this illegal liquor selling connection two vendors were arrested- Sajal Debnath and Rakesh Basak.
However, Police said such raids will be continued for the entire day in weekend curfew.
