Kailasahar, Dec 18 (TIWN): An allegation has been raised against a private pathological laboratory for providing wrong report to a patient recently.
Mohammad Sufiyan, a patient was admitted at RGM hospital due to disease on December 10. According the advice of attending doctor, Sufiyan went to a private pathological laboratory adjacent to the RGM hospital at Kailasahar for stool test.
After testing stool, the laboratory mentioned in the test reports that occult blood was found. Based on the report, attending doctor of RGM hospital- Dr. PK Debbarma referred the patient for better treatment.
Following the direction of doctor, the patient went to Silchar on December 12 and undergone treatment in a private nursing home. The test report of the nursing home found no presence of occult blood in stool.
As a result, Mohammad Sufiyan today met with the Medical Superintendent (in-charge) of RGM hospital and demanded legal step against the pathological laboratory for giving wrong test report. A copy of the letter was also given to the Health Minister Badal Chowdhury, Health Director and CMO of Unokoti district.
