AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): "Amra 10323" teachers organization has once again requested the Bank Authorities to stop pressure on teachers to clear loans. The terminated teachers under "Amra 10323" organization have met Gram Bank's high ranking officials at Agartala. Briefing media, teacher Dalia Das said, "On behalf of Amra 10323 teachers organization, we are organizing programmes statewide which started from yesterday and will continue till tomorrow. The teachers are managing their livelihoods through daily work, few are selling vegetables. In this condition, how to pay for the loans ? We got the loan, based on our jobs but when we don't have jobs, how can we pay for that ? Banks are now cutting money from the guarantors and the guarantors are pressuring us to clear loans. Already so many teachers have died, many committed suicide out of loan burden. Unless our jobs are not restored or any solution comes out, till then the torment for loans should be stopped".

"We have just come to talk to the officials but so many police have been deployed on us............earlier also multiple times we were attacked through police. The Government is not allowing us even to raise our voice..........we want the people of Tripura to support us as our demands are valid", said Dalia Das.
