AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): In a shocking update, it has been reported in state media that Tripura Govt has withdrawn Rs. 300 crores from Gramin Bank which was kept under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme asking the employees to open account in Canara Bank giving a time of 2 days.

As per the report, from State Schools, the State Govt has withdrawn all funds of SSA to open new accounts in the Canara Bank.

The amount is Rs. 300 crores which will weaken the Gramin Banks further.

Moreover, whether it will help to strengthen Canara Bank or not, there is also huge doubt over it. Few years back, the interest of the SSA teachers' funds was allegedly withdrawn by the Govt and now the whole fund was cleared by the Govt.

On the other hand, schools' conditions remain pathetic. Amid the teachers' crisis, huge numbers of teachers are appointed in Covid desk. No infrastructure development happened in the last 3.5 years and the development remained abstract.

In this Covid situation, laptops, free internet connections also could not be given by the State Govt in schools. With all these, the Education system moves towards an aimless direction.

REPORT PUBLIHSED IN STATE NEWSPAPER
