AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): 37 years old woman teacher's hanged body was recovered from her in-laws house in locked room. Primary investigation says its a suicide. The incident took place in Maharani's Noabari area under Udaipur subdivision last night.

According to the details of the incident, a TET teacher named Ruma Chakrabort, 37 years old committed suicide by hanging herself with a towel around her neck in locked room at her father-in-law's house on Sunday night.

When her husband and in-laws members noticed the incident, they immediately informed the Maharani Police outpost and police led by OC of Maharani PS, Police team rushed to the spot. Then to Radhakishorepur Women's PS's team also reached the spot including SI Sumitra Kapali.

Later, the body was rescued and taken to Gomti District Hospital for an autopsy. It was not known why the woman teacher took such a drastic step. Meanwhile, police took a case on unnatural death.

Centering the unnatural death shadow of mourning descended on the family, however the cause of death will come out after the autopsy.
