AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Amid the massive unemployment problems that have hit Tripura, there is no hope for recruitment as now the State is hit by Delta variants. However, amid such Covid crisis, there is no attempt to recruit the medical staff also which has been forcing State Doctors to seek jobs in Assam, West Bengal like states. Tension triggered as at least 151 samples from Tripura were sent to a government laboratory in West Bengal and 90% of them were found with Delta plus strain. "More than 90 % of samples in Tripura that were sent for testing in Microbiology lab at West Bengal, have been found with transmissible Delta plus variant", the chief nodal officer of the state has said. It happened amid Govt's claim on Tripura's No-1 position in vaccination.

Resentment erupted among the unemployed youths in Tripura who are reeling under a crisis situation due to the huge rate of unemployment in the state. Already Tripura is No-1 in unemployment rate among all Northeast Indian states as per CMIE data and due to Curfews business is also at down.

Govt department's recruitments are almost nil and due to Curfew, the recruitments have further paused leading to heavy frustrations among the job aspirants.

Various Departments including Health Dept are suffering due to vacancies although BJP before the 2018 election promised to the unemployed youths that 50,000 Govt Posts which were left vacant under the then Left Govt will be filled up within 1 year of the BJP Govt formation. BJP led State Govt in Tripura has cheated the unemployed youths by cancelling ongoing recruitment process, as before 2018 election, BJP had promised about recruiting 50000 persons in Govt Depts which were already vacant under the then Left Govt but instead, the recruitment turned almost nil.
