AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): From May 17, the Curfew had been imposed in Tripura which has caused a tremendous crisis economically in this state but when the Curfew was going on, even though common men and oppositions' programmes were controlled by the administration but there was no control in the activities of the ruling party either its centering Shyam Prasad Mukharjee's birth anniversary or organizing massive rallies for MP's rewarding as the Central Minister. Criticism erupted after the Law Minister himself violated Covid laws and organized massive gathering in his constituency when at the same day terminated teachers who gathered in limited numbers were arrested by police and that unnecessary arrest rather cost social distancing violation between agitators and the police. Public are resented as there is no relief from Lockdown situations in the middle of the economic crisis that has hit the state.
Tension triggered as at least 151 samples from Tripura were sent to a government laboratory in West Bengal and 90% of them were found with Delta plus strain.
"More than 90 % of samples in Tripura that were sent for testing in Microbiology lab at West Bengal, have been found with transmissible Delta plus variant", the chief nodal officer of the state has said.
It happened amid Govt's claim on Tripura's No-1 position in vaccination.
