AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Congress party held a protest against price hikes of daily commodities on Thursday in front of Congress Bhawan.

Addressing the media, Nitya Kumar Rudrapal, the State President of Congress Seva Dal said, "It has been 7 years long that the BJP Govt is at Centre amid the increasing commodity prices. BJP had promised to bring down various commodity prices and organized protests against cooking gas, petrol, diesel prices but now the prices have turned double. We are facing troubles in this state also and that's why we are raising voice against the "Kushashan Mukti Andolon" (bad governance) throughout the nation.
