AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): “Where was the pandemic in Education Minister’s Relief distribution’s Campaign in Mohanpur? Only when we (10,323 teachers) stepped on the street to protest, Police administration harasses us by enforcing various laws” asked terminated teacher.

On Wednesday, 10323 teachers' organization, held a program at Khowai with very limited number of teachers to pay homage to the 104 deceased teachers, staged protest with 3 points demands to permanently solution of their jobs uncertainty, die-in-harness jobs for the bereaved teachers family, and to stop imposing Bank loan EMI’s until they get back their jobs. But before joining the state-wide 2nd Day protest programme the slave police rushed to the protest spot, harassed the teachers, arrested and brought them to Subhashnagar outpost, Khowai. A teacher said, Our Education Minister distributed relief at Mohanpur almost 5,000 public gatherings without mask, where he was seen giving instructions.

“Where was the pandemic situation while the ruling party held gatherings at Surya Chowmuhani on Yesterday?” asked the arrested terminated teacher.

Just before a day Law Minister, Ratan Lal Nath was spotted giving instructions in mass gathering of thousands of people in his own constituency and Police who had played a silent spectator role. But when it comes to the protest for the rights of 10,323 teachers with few teachers who are striving for livelihood after losing jobs, the police administration arrests them for violating rules. The arrogant role of government displays that Covid virus transmitted only via 10,323 teachers’ democratic protests, not in ruling party’s mass gatherings.
