AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): On Tuesday, the CPI (M) Gandachhara sub-divisional committee four leftist youth organizations held rally to handed over a memorandum to the SDPO demanding restoration of rule of law in the state and an end to attacks on opposition leaders and activists. But while the rally started from the CPIM Gandachhara Sub-Divisional Committees office premises, it was noticed the Police obstructed the rally in Gandachera Madhya Bazar. And when the police obstructed the left organisations activists, they staged the demonstration on the spot.

Later, a delegation from the protest spot handed over a memorandum to the SDPO with demands of restoration of law and order in the state.

CPIM Party sub-divisional secretary Dhananjay Tripura, DYFI sub-divisional secretary Biswajit Sarkar and others party activists joined the protest program.
