AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): Landslide affected families of Mungiakami have sat in demonstration at the SDM office in Teliamura seeking compensation for the losses.

An official told media that from the administration, they were told that Rs. 1 lakh will be given to them in phases but they did not agree with that and continued demonstration.

The victims said that their losses are massive and with such a little amount of compensation, nothing can be done. 

The families warned about further protest if their demands are not fulfilled. The affected people are now residing in the camps.
