AGARTALA, December 17 (TIWN): Challenging the State Govt. to take a necessary steps to bring in the Saradha Chit fund, Waris and Rosevalley companies under the CBI scanner in Tripura, the opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman today claimed that the left front govt. alongwith its Ministers are on a race of misleading campaign about CBI probe.Talking to the media persons here at the Congress Bhawan today Sudip said that the State Govt. has framed a wrong press release on its steps against the Chit Fund companies. The very first line of the press release that says that the state govt. had sent a list of at least 27 cases against the chit fund companies to the CBI for its investigation is utter false, whereas the state govt. had filed at least 37 cases against 24 chit fund companies, said Sudip Roy Barman today.Earlier on Tuesday, PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury alongwith the Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha protesting the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s possible involvement in Saradha chit fund scam, said that the CBI has accepted at least 5 cases amongst the 27 or its investigation. However, but today talking to the media persons at Congress Bhawan, Opposition leader demanded CBI probe in Manik Sarkar’s involvement in Chit fund companies. Manik Sarkar had attended the Saradha run daily news paper’s 1st anniversary program with the Saradha chit fund company proprietor Sudipta Sen at Agartala Nazrul Kalakhestra.

Beside, Manik Sarkar also attended the Waris Chit fund company program at Agartala Town Hall and later inaugurated the Rose valley park with its Proprietor Mr. Kundu at Amtali, claimed Mr. Barman.

Criticizing the irresponsibility role of the state govt. Mr. Barman said that the state govt. has not taken any responsibility to figure out the amount of the money looted by the chit fund companies in the case filed to CBI, with which the prime chit fund companies of the state had been rescued from the CBI scanner, said Mr. Barman. The CPI (M) and the left front ministers are now on a race to safeguard the clean image of CM Manik Sarkar – the so called Mr. Model, claimed Barman.

Whereas on the other when Chief Minister Manik Sarkar himself said that he had received a gift from Saradha Proprietor Sudipta Sen, now he denies that he don’t know any such individual of Saradha chit fund company, claimed Barman today. “I challenge the state govt. if they can take any necessary steps to bring in the three chit fund companies – Saradha, Waris and Rose Valley under the CBI scanner”, Sudip Roy Barman.

Saying that the Tripura Pradesh Congress to frame a new cell to deal with the chit fund companies, the Opposition Leader Sudip Roy Barman today urged the deprived and looted customers to provide all the documents to the Congress. The congress will fight for them, said Barman.
