AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): A bridge has turned into a death trap despite repeated complaints on behalf of the villagers. The bridge has remained in dilapidated condition since several years.
After many complains, no initiative has been taken to repair the damage bridge. As the villagers are crossing the bridge with life risk for a long time, the road was blocked by villagers at Mog Para of Uttar Takma Chhara Village in Santirbazar.
Villagers blocked roads with a demand of repairing this dilapidated roads.
According to the local villagers, more than three hundred families are moving on a dangerous bridge at Mog Para of Uttar Takma Chhara Village by keeping the local villagers' lives at risk.
It was repeatedly informed to the local leaders and the authorities to repair the bridge but the officials come and go but in reality no initiative was taken to repair it.
The road blockade was lasted for two hours. The agitators have warned that they will block National Highway, if the government does not take steps to repair the broken bridge soon.
