Joint Movement Committee (JMC) met Education Director as No Termination Letter has been given to 10323 teachers yet : Asked Tripura Govt to Terminate 37 Teachers, or to Face Legal Challenges 'again'

AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Joint Movement Committee (JMC) members on Saturday met Education Director Chandni Chandran at the Education Office, submitted papers with legal queries hoping a satisfactory answers from the new Director.
Talking to media, JMC member Bijoy Krishna Saha said, "Our main issue is that even after termination, as on today, we did not receive any termination letter yet. As we did not receive any termination letter, how can we be considered as terminated ? Any employee if goes in suspension then termination is must. We want to get clarification about Para 127 and on which basis we are being terminated ? Based on which para we are terminated ? Moreover, recently Tripura Govt has decided to regularize Science teachers but among the Science teachers there are some teachers who challenged our jobs as illegal and based on which High Court termed the recruitment process as unconstitutional. But the petitioners got jobs in 2012 but never withdrawn the case against us. We later challenged their jobs in High Court and the High Court clearly directed about their terminations. So we want to know, what decision has been taken by the Dept because we are going to challenge these jobs".
The 10323 teachers also said, they will file cases against the former Education Director and officials who were engaged in that recruitment policy making due to which the teachers are today jobless.
