AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Pedestrians first spotted that fire smoke was coming out from CPI-M party office at College Square on Thursday morning. Immediately the information was given to Fire Department. After receiving the information, the Belonia Fire Department forces rushed to College Square and extinguished the fire inside the office.
However, the fire incident has caused stir in the area. Also centering the fire incident various questions raised among the local people.
Reacting to the fire incident at the CPIM College Square regional office, CPIM Belonia Committee Secretary Tapas Datta said that BJP miscreants had set fire to the CPIM office. It was alleged that the CPIM regional party office had remained closed for the past three years.
The office is not being allowed to function normally and the party office has been vandalised several times, the furniture inside the office has been destroyed. The BJP miscreants are trying to organize such attacks across the state.
The BJP party has lost his popularity among state’s people and in such a situation people are coming forward to protest against the anti-people activities of the BJP and this is the main reason behind BJP’s attacks on opposition party offices, which is a sign of BJP’s weakness. When people are moving away, they may be terrified and may become dependent on the complete anti-social elements and continue to suppress the leftists. Democracy has been suppressed and people should come forward for their right to express their views.
