AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Finally after 11 days of the brutal incident at Teliamura, where 3 youths were beaten to death, 1 accused person has been arrested.

He is the first accused man has been arrested in the brutal murder case.

The case is handled by SDPO Sonacharan Jamatia himself.  Yesterday, at around night 9 PM, the accused Ripan Debbarma was arrested.

He has been kept under tight security and interrogations are continuing. SDPO told the media that more will be arrested as the first accused person is in police's clutch.

The incident took place on 20th June, where 3 youths were killed brutally by mob in accusation of cow-theft. 

However, there are two separate incidents in connection to these 3 murders : (1) Two murders took place under Kalyanpur and another at (2) Mungiakami.

Ripan Debbarma's arrest was under two murder incidents of Kalyanpur. 

The deceased are : Billal Mia, Jabed Hossain and Saiful Islam. They are residents of Sonamura.

This incident generated roars of protests, tension in the state. The investigation is underway.
