AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Man paid Rs 1000 for recharging the prepaid meter box, but shockingly he received only 22units after paying Rs 1000. Resented before the media over facing harassment by Power Department.

According to the details, a consumer named Tutan Das, son of Jhulan Rani Das of Bishalgarh Aambagan, complained against prepaid system meter bill of Bishalgarh Power Department. It is learned that power supply was stopped in Tuton Das’s house, and he rushed to the Bishalgarh Jangalia Power office to recharge his prepaid meter box. Shockingly, after paying Rs 1000 to the power department for recharge he received 22 units. When he wanted to know how he got 22 units after paying Rs 1000? The on duty officers in response asked to discuss the matter with SDO.

Accordingly Tutan spoke to SDO of Bishalgarh Power Department and came to know he already used 190 units of electricity and so now he has got 22 units for 1000 rupees. On the other hand Tutan said before the media that without recharging the prepaid meter box how he used 190 units in advance?

In reply SDO informed Tutan if he wants to know more regarding this matter, then to apply to the power department and by saying this SDO returned him.
