AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Child Marriage: Child line stopped minor boy and girls marriage.

Upon receiving secret information in a joint venture of Child line Authority and Police of West Women’s PS has stopped the marriage at Chandrapur Jamtala area last night.

Reportedly, the minor girl is 13 years old and the boy 18 years old, had love affair and both of them escaped 4-5 days ago, as they escaped the family had made arrangements for marriage last night.

On receiving the secret information from Roti Bank Foundation the police and Child line stopped the marriage because the duo is underage and ineligible for marriage. It is known the boy is School dropout and the girl is studying in school.

Question being raised despite knowing child marriage is crime how the family agreed for the marriage and made an arrangement for marriage.
