AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): BJP is acting more like a hostage to power, generating controversies, leading disturbances in developmental works. This is reflected as BJP is unready yet to consider TIPRA Motha Party as the ruling party in the ADC and controversial occupancy of the ADC through village panchayats are causing troubles in common men's lives. Such an example was set through public revolt in Salema RD block's Panchayat where common men locked the Panchayat office saying, they do not want any Panchayat as it is "useless". Same happened in various Panchayats already. Yesterday public locked Laxmipur Village Panchayat in protest against Panchayat led corruptions there. 

Opposition parties have demanded immediate election in ADC areas for village councils.

Controversy erupted due to two types of action taken by the administration against the ruling and the opposition parties.

When the Left ADC Council had crossed the tenure, their power was snatched but in case of Village council, the members got extension. ADC Election was also held due to High Court's order, otherwise, Tripura Govt was delaying it for an unknown period.
