AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): Drugs business in euphoria in the state, there is no scene of curbing illicit business amid tall claims of “Nesha Mukta Tripuraâ€.
Currently, the town Teliamura has become a "paradise of drugs" and the youth of the society is being destroyed day after day due to this drug addiction. A woman was detained by a group of local women for running a drug trade in broad daylight. Besides, raids were carried out at the woman's house in Manik Bazar area of Teliamura. The incident has heated the whole area, later huge police and TSR forces were deployed at the spot to control the situation.
According to the details of the incident 4 people named Rajkumar Debbarma, Jogesh Debbarma, Samu Debbarma and a woman have been running a drug trade in the South Gakulnagar area of Manikbazar area under Teliamura PS since last 3 months, which leads the youth of the society are getting destroyed. However, the police of Teliamura PS had information of such rampant drug trade in Manik Bazar area for a long time but the police rushed to the spot time to time but did not catch the drug dealers. But on Monday at around 5 pm, the local women unitedly rushed to a house in the South Gakulnagar area of Manik Bazar and caught a woman red-handed in connection with drug trafficking. The local women led a search at the house and recovered a huge number of drug cartons and drug syringes from the house.
Centering this fiery situation was generated and the news was given to Teliamura PS. Upon receiving the news, the police of Teliamura PS rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Besides, the police arrested a drug dealer named Sanjit Debbarma who was associated with the drug traffickers and brought him to Teliamura PS.
On the other hand, the local women demanded to the police administration that within the next 24 hours the other three fugitives involved in drug trafficking should be arrested immediately.
