AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): Police torture on 10323 teachers on January 27, 2021 and moving away 360 degree from its Vision Document given promise might turn a big jolt for the BJP in 2023 poll as already BJP lost its support base in Tripura due to unfulfilled promises to all sections of people. Being "Jobless" for 14 months, the 10323 teachers' are under severe financial struggle, facing a death toll of 102 teachers.Nodoubt, 10323 teachers turned BJP's political scapegoat in 2018 poll after the teachers trusted the BJP's fake promises and after election, the promise itself is fully misinterpreted. 10323 Teachers, JMC members were protesting on June 4 by observing a "Black Day", wearing a black ribbon as with 10323 teacher Litan Nama's death, the toll had risen to 100. But before completion of the "Black Day'' programme, one more terminated teacher of Bishramganj Naveen Debbarma has died which has taken the death toll to 101. But now the Death toll is 102 as one more teacher Himangshu Sutradhar has died.
Reacting over the death of Himansu Sutradhar, 10323 JMC member Kamal Deb said, "We are really word-less today and practically have no word to express our grief. We have lost 102 colleagues and I really don't know how to react. We are appealing to the State Govt again and again to show some humanity but after 102 deaths also, not a single statement came from the Govt. When will the CM and Education Minister wake up from their sleep ?"
"Today, Himangsu Da died without treatment even after telling the Govt again and again to help him. Many teachers have committed suicide and many teachers are ill".
"Two meals are not possible to manage. In this pandemic situation, why is the Govt not even giving us some allowances ? How many deaths does the Govt need to wake up ? This Govt is inhuman. Where is your promise given before the 2018 election ? Why can't you fulfill your own promise now ? Please, help us immediately by keeping your words", Kamal Deb added.
