AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): A housewife’s body was found hanging from a rubber tree in a rubber garden near her house in Maheshkhala area under Amtali police station.

The demised person has been identified as Arnika Das, W/o- Raju Singh. The housewife had been missing since yesterday evening. The housewife’s daughter woke up in the morning and had started searching for her mother. Later, in a nearby rubber forest and found her mother’s hanging body.

Talking to the deceased's children, it is known that Arnika's husband Raju often tortured her physically and it is suspected that over quarrel with husband she took the drastic step.

Immediately it was informed to the Amtali PS, Police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body. Police have started investigating the incident whether it was suicide or murder.

Centering the unnatural death of the housewife, it has caused panic in the Maheshkhala Barman Para area.
