AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): A 45-year-old laborer, Shibu Debnath, died after receiving an electric shock in Chawkber village under Khowai PS on Monday.

Shibu was a mason by profession. At a construction work, while connecting a water motor to its line he received a severe electric shock. Soon Shibu was rushed to the Khowai District Hospital by other workers and the owner of the house but on reaching there the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, his untimely demise cast a shadow of mourning over the entire area.
