AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): After West Bengal, Tripura too is moving forward to take parents' opinion about Board examinations to decide whether to take exams or not. The West Bengal Government had issued a notice on Sunday urging people to send their opinion by 2 pm today. Such a similar step was taken by the Tripura Govt too. Addressing the media, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Monday said that the last date will be till 15th June when opinions can be given by the parents. There will be only two options "Yes" or "No" and the guardians will say what they want. On being asked by the media whether it's a polling like something, Ratan Lal Nath got irritated, said, "You can give any name whether poll or exit poll or just opinion......but for now, we will check what the public say and in advance nothing can be said.Â
The state government is also organizing meetings with committees to review the Covid-19 situation and recommend if board examinations could be held under the circumstances and how. For now, nothing has been finally decided. However, Ratan Lal Nath said that the Covid positivity rate has decreased a lot.
