AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Based on secret information, the police of Airport PS detained a Tata Ace car (TRO1 X 1506) and recovered a large quantity of narcotic cough syrup in the Tufania Lunga area adjacent to the Bamutia Border.

The driver managed to escape leaving his vehicle. A case has been registered against the 4-wheeler. 

Over 3100 bottles of Escof cough syrup were recovered and the market price of the seized drugs will be approximately Rs 20 lakh, said SDPO Pia Madhuri Majumder.
