AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Last year on Nov 16, the locals of Bharat Chandra Nagar’s drop gate area complained about a disturbing loud music at midnight that was playing in BJP leader Kiran Biswas's home as a part of celebration of Kali Puja.

After getting the complaint ASI, Swapan Sen with his team went to his house and asked him to stop the music. The BJP leader and his family members did not agree with the ASI and started threatening and also beaten up the ASI and other police officials.

The BJP leader, Kiran Biswas including his family members dragged the Police official, Swapan Sen to drain and severely beaten him. Seriously injured in the attack, ASI Swapan Sen was under treatment for 14 days at Gomati District Hospital. However, a case was filed later against the accused at Belonia Police Station, case No-212/2020.

Though, police finally arrested one criminal, Uddipan Majumder, ABVP leader after six to seven months of the incident but the police have not shown the courage to arrest the other accused involved in this incident .
