AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): The corona vaccine process started in Maichhara Primary Health Center yesterday after being closed for the last few days. During the vaccination camp, the camera captured an expected picture. The people standing there in line were not abiding by the Covid-19 protocols. No social distance was maintained among the public and surprisingly, some of them were not even wearing masks.

The people were reluctant to listen to the police personnel and the hospital authority who were asking them repeatedly to maintain the rules.

 Meanwhile, a similar scenario was witnessed today at Sabrum Sub-divisional hospital where sub-divisional nodal officer, Dr. Saumik Hajra claimed, “Despite repeated calls from security guards, police and health officials the general public is reluctant to listen which means that there is no awareness among the people yet”.

 It seems the virus is now spreading at a much wider rate due to the unawareness of the people.
