AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): Mahamani Debbarma, 21 years old, S/o- Indra Debbarma, residing at Kakrachara area of Mungiakami block under Teliamura subdivision was injured in a sudden lightning strike on Tuesday.

According to the details it is known, some youths went to Nunachhara ADC Village under Mungiakami PS to repair electricity power supply cable, and along with them a young aged boy Mahamani Debbarma was there. The severely injured Mahamani was working with them on an electric pole, but suddenly lightning strike on him and he fell on the ground. 

On seeing this other workers immediately took him to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, as noticing his critical condition, the on duty doctor at the hospital referred him to GB Hospital for better treatment.  It is known almost 50% of his body was burned.
