AGARTALA, May 25(TIWN): A girl committed suicide on Dec 30, 2020 over continuous blackmail by boyfriend, but police was unable to catch the prime accused, as the criminal was in absconding. Later on Tuesday Police caught him from Circuit house area out of suspects.

It is known on Dec 30, 2020 a girl from East Champamura area had committed suicide centering continuous blackmail by her boyfriend. Behind the girls Suicide, a man named Jagan Rai,  the principal accused of Goyalabasti was involved as many intimate pictures and chats were detected from her mobile phone. After she committed suicide, her family had filed a case against the criminal on Jan, 2021 but Police could not busted the criminal as he was in absconding. 

Later on Tuesday while the NCC police were on curfew checking at Circuit house area, the criminal, jagan was arrested with his auto based on suspicion. After checking Jagan’s licence the police got confirmed that he is the prime accused behind the girl’s suicide, who was in absconding for a long time by showing thumb to the police.  Later it was informed to Bodhjungnagar PS, OC, and he was arrested from Circuit house area. Police took a case against the criminal, Jagan under section 376 and 306 of IPC and he will be produced before court on Wednesday. 

However, Police will investigate the case further whether anyone else is involved in the case or not.
