TEST holds 7th annual general meeting

AGARTALA, December 14 (TIWN): The Tribal Engineers’ Society Tripura (TEST) organized their 7th annual general meeting (3rd Biennial) at Superibagan, Krishnanagar here today.

In the annual general meeting they handed over a 15 point charter of demand to chief executive member of TTAADC Dr. Ranjit Debbarma.

The demands are:

1.Filling up of all the direct recruitment engineering vacant posts under PWD, TSECL, RD, Agriculture and PWD (TTAADC), Higher Education etc. immediately.

2.The combined competitive examination Rules-2009 must be repealed pertaining to the imposition of 30% cut-off marks.

3.All the vacancies in promotional posts reserved for ST engineers to be filled up immediately.

4.ST eligible in-service engineers to be nominated for IAS post.

5.Roster should be followed strictly in any kind of temporary appointments such as/part time/DRW/ fixed pay/Ad-hoc etc.

6.Enhance the number of mechanical engineering post and creation of computer science engineering posts in various state government departments.

7.Separate recruitment rules to be framed for TTAADC.

8.The 6th Amendment of “Tripura Engineering Service Rules-1987” must be kept in abeyance until the promotions of reversed categories are given.

9.In the 7th Amendment of TES Rules-1987, the post of junior engineer, TES Gr. V (B) and (A) must also be created with expansion  of 412 promotional posts for AE, EE,SE and CE under PWD.

10.State reservation policy must be followed in private sector organization.

11.Expansion of the engineering post in TSECL, Agricultural, PWD (TTAADC) and RD etc.

12. Newly recruited engineers to be trained on administration and service related matters immediately after appointment.

13.In-Service ST engineers to be encouraged for higher studies.

14.Creating new job opportunities and promoting entrepreneurs.

15.State reservation policy must be followed in the post of principal for various polytechnic institute of Tripura.

Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Caste (SC), Public Works (Drinking Water and Sanitation) and Tourism Ratan Bhowmik and other dignitaries were present in the general meeting.
