AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Former Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has attacked BJP's torture on common men using King Ram's name.

Manik Sarkar was asked about Kailashahar incident of BJP's torture on a DYFI member, who was beaten up and then after humiliation, he was forced to chant "Jai Sri Ram" slogan. 

The DYFI member was tortured just because he was doing sanitization in his locality.

Sarkar further expressed his surprise over BJP Govt's total silence over the incident.

"Govt could condemn this dirty activity...........but by silent support, it has proven that as Govt can not do anything to tackle the Covid situation, so opposition also can not be allowed to do anything for the people", added Manik Sarkar.
