AGARTALA, May 22(TIWN): Vaccination drive programmes above 18 years of age has already been started. In the meantime, 12 centres have been opened in Belonia Municipal Council area today to provide vaccines. But it has been noticed that the common public are disobeying the guidelines of the Corona epidemic without maintaining social distance, resulting, there would be high risk of spreading deadly viruses rapidly.
Amid presence of security personnel in the Vaccination Centre, it has been noticed that vaccine recipients are violating the protocol of COVID rules in the Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital. As a result questions are being raised against the in-charge of security of playing the role as silent spectators, as vaccines are being received in a festive mood without maintaining any social distance. Centering the violation of Covid rules angst has seen among conscious citizens over the role of the administration in this regard.
On being asked about violating the social distance, Dr. Jagadish Namah, CMO of South District, said some people who came to get the vaccine are not properly maintaining the social distance even after repeatedly requesting them.
Also said, all efforts are being made by the hospital authorities so that the people who come to get the vaccine do not face any problem, but some insensible citizens are violating the protocol of Covid rules. Beside this, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, District Magistrate of South District and Manik Lal Das, Sub-Divisional Magistrate visited the Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital on Saturday.
