Fake Promise : E-Rickshaw Drivers did not get any money which was announced in 2020 Covid Period

AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Tripura e-rickshaw association organized a press conference on Wednesday demanding that in 2020 the state government announced that e-rickshaw workers will be paid Rs.1000. But the ground reality is the promised amount yet not been given. However such type of Jumla promises is not new, earlier many times state govt cheated in various ways with Tripura’s people.

The E-Rickshaw association organised a press at Bhati Abhoynogar, where it was stated that in 2020 the state government announced that e-rickshaw workers will be given Rs.1000 which is not given yet, allegedly.

Following the lockdown in the state in 2021 E-Rickshaw driver’s livelihood are going through a difficult situation, due to which the E-rickshaw association demanded to provide rice and pulses to SDM, so that they can distribute it among daily wagers.

The E-rickshaw association appealed to the state government to fulfil their given promise and their demands would be handed over to Sadar SDM and Deputy Commissioner in the coming days.
