AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Aniruddha Chakraborty, aged 30 years, a resident of Ramnagar Akhaura Road (Lane 2) died suspiciously in his house last night.

Based on details, Anirudhha got married to Durgabati Bhattacharjee, D/O Dinesh Chandra Bhattacharjee a.k.a Poltu Bhattacharjee in April 24. Poltu is the former mondal president and also contested for municipal election from the 6th Agartala constituency. He has also got good terms with MP Pratima Bhowmik.     

Aniruddha was in a relationship with Durgabati for 3 years and after their marriage, though everything seemed fine from the outside, the duo often had arguments on some unknown issue.     

However, last night Anirudhha’s suspicious death has raised questions on Durgabati. Though the wife claimed that Anirudhha hanged himself last night from the ceiling of his balcony with her Dupatta, no 0such evidence was found.

At first, Durgabati called her in-laws and told them that Anirudhha had a convulsion. Soon after his family members took him to the hospital he was declared dead. After taking Anirudhha to the hospital the family members noticed a black mark on one side of his neck. Being asked, Durgabati later said that she found Anirudhha hanging from the balcony, she released the body from the dupatta by burning the dupatta with a match stick and put him on his bed. Though Anirudhha’s parents were sleeping in the next room, she didn’t feel the need to call them.     

After post mortem, before Anirudhha’s body was brought to his home, his wife fled away despite the police warned her not to leave the house.     

Meanwhile, the locals and Anirudhha’s friends alleged that Anirudhha was a calm-natured boy and Durgabati used to torture him mentally.   

However, Durgabati’s fabricated story has created a serious curiosity among Anirudhha’s family members and the locals of the Ramnagar area.     

An FIR has been filed in West PS against the wife.The post mortem report is yet to come and the people of that area demanded justice for the victim.
