AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Amid suspension and arrests of the hooligans of TIPRA Motha party with the initiative of TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Manikya, IPFT being in the ruling party has called for a 24 hours Strike in the ADC areas on 22nd May. Reacting sharply against the decision of the IPFT Party, Pradyot Manikya has hit the IPFT leaders asking why this strike has been called on when people are already suffering from livelihood crisis due to the Coronavirus pandemic ? "Amid public's struggle, this open fight among the political parties will not help the common men at all. Common men does not have any interest in the politics".

"Law and Order's responsibility goes to the State Govt but being in ruling party, calling a strike after violence is just to provoke further violence", said Pradyot Manikya in a press meet at the Palace hours after IPFT has called for a 24 hours Strike on 22nd May. 

"Today hospitals are suffering from massive infrastructure related crisis. Why don't we talk about Covid-vaccination ? Why don't we talk about the Health infrastructure ?", said the Chairman of the TIPRA Motha.

"Today unemployment has become a national issue. Being in opposition, I am not organizing any protest because of this deadly Coronavirus. My mother is suffering from Covid-19 and I came back from Kolkata to serve the people here. I am trying to help the people, as much as I can. In this Covid crisis, instead of serving my mother, I am taking IPFT MLA to the hospital and still the politicians are only interested about doing politics. If BJP supports the strike, it means, it does not want law and order's establishment in state", Manikya told media.

"Earlier, IPFT said, it will leave the alliance and so far has not quitted from the alliance. That is why, they scored a zero in ADC Poll................I appeal to the IPFT Party to withdraw this Strike decision as it will deteriorate law and order further", said Pradyot Manikya.
