AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): Essential Commodities Services along with Medical Services will not be affected under the Section 144 imposed in the Containment zones in Agartala Municipal areas. Free rations will be provided to poor people including APL families who are poor, such has been assured by the Govt.

This decision was taken for 3 containment zones in AMC Ward No-5, Ward No-21 and Ward No-46, where for 10 days all movements have been restricted by marking the area under containment zone. 

Yesterday, till late night since the announcement the officials on-duty remained on the ground and were seen working to seal the areas dedicatedly. 

Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that after the containment zone, there will be buffer zones where also restrictions will continue at a certain level. Police personnel were witnessed on ground whole day from mask-enforcement to social gathering controls. 

Additional SDM Binay Bhusan Das said that as per Prime Minister's announce free rice will be provided whereas Govt will help in providing essential commodities also. Today new Covid positive cases are 416 and death number are 2,

The Rules Which have been set for the Containment Zones are 

1) Under no circumstances there shall be any ingress/ outgress of any person or vehicle from the containment Zone at any time of the day except for persons/vehicles involved in the enforcement of containment plan and maintaining essential services including medical emergencies,

2) Every Person residing within or entering the containment Zone shall wear a face cover/ mask.

3) All shops, establishments, Parks shall remain closed within the containment zone except Grocery shops (Provisional stores), medical shops & diary booths. These essential shops will remain open from 5 AM to 5 PM in compliance with the timings of curfew already in force'

4) The movement of the Residents or persons of the ward shall be restricted. within ward movement will, be allowed only for purchasing of essential commodities only form the shop opened within the 't. 2. 3. 4. ward.

5. All roads within the House (Main Road), wards shall remain closed except the road leading from GB Bazar to circuit the road leading from GB Bazar to Dhaleswar via lTl, Indranagar, Road from GB ol Name of Buffer Zone Radius Sub- Division Name of the  Ward No Containment Zone Population Sadar Agartala Municipal Corporation Ward No i,21.&46 Name of habitation All habitations belonging to ward number 5, 21 and 46. Ward No- 5: 11,024 Nos 2.00 KM Ward No- 21: 11,373 Nos 2.00 KM Ward No- 46: 14,400 Nos 2.00 KM ,/ Bazar to Banikya chowmuhani and Road from GB Bazar to old Motor stand via Abhoynagar (in respect of ward No- 5), Agartala Sabroom Road NH-08 (ln respect of ward No 46) and Assam Agartala Road, Road from Shibnagar Modern club to Kalyani via PN Deb Road (in respect of ward No- 21).

6, Assembrly of two or more people shat not be allowed within the ward areas and sp west shall maintain close surveillance to enforce these restrictions within and at entry and exit points (Naka points).He shall ensure that public movement would be allowed only for purchasing essential goods within ward. He shall also provide for necessary barricading and deployment of police personnel to ensure adequate security.

7. The movement of people engaged in maintaining essential services will be allowed into and outside these wards only after producing varid ID card to the security personnel deployed at the entry gate of the containment zone.

8) Supply of essential goods shall be through the vendors identified by AMC for General Purchase by residents of concerned area'

9. Sanitization in the containment zone shall be done at regular intervals of time by AMC' 1_0. In order to contain further spread of COVID-19, it is compulsory to test atleast 1 (one) member from each family & contact person the positive patient'

11) DWS will ensure proper water supply through water tankers in any emergency situation

12. TSECL will ensure regular electricity supply and keep its fault rectification team on standby for emergency situation

13. CMO West will ensure implementation of all protocols

14) The SDM- Sadar shall erect barricades/ check Points & sheds with other logistics so as to conducive to maintain Containment Zone properly
