AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary was observed in Tripura with minimum gathering, without any cultural programne.
In Agartala Rabindra Bhawan, Chief Minister Biplab Deb paid floral tribute to Tagore. After the programme, CM has appealed the people to follow Covid guidelines.
"On Tagore Jayanti, I bow to the great Gurudev Tagore. May his exemplary ideals keep giving us strength and inspiration to build the India he dreamt of..........", PM Modi tweeted.
Rabindranath Tagore was an Indian polymath, poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter. He reshaped Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Before Covid-19 had gripped the world, in Rabindra Kanan also colourful cultural programmes were organized. Then, in various Educational institutions, same programmes, rallies used to happen every year but due to Covid-19, it could not be observed.
