AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): After Cooking Gas price hikes hit the common men's lives, now under Modi Govt, Cooking Oil prices see a massive surge.

In Agartala the price was recorded at Rs. 175 whereas in various other places of Tripura it reached Rs. 190 also.

Sellers said that they hardly make Rs. 5 profit out of that.  However, whole-sale businessmen said around Rs. 10 to Rs.15 rupees profit are made through oil sales.   

The sudden rise of cooking oil price created massive resentment among the common men. Rs. 145 (wholesale) was the price last month.   

Fortune oil's price has also crossed Rs. 160 (wholesale) whereas it was Rs. 150 (wholesale market rate) before a month.  In Maharajganj Bazar sellers' long rows were seen before whole-sale godown. 

Oil crisis was also reported and the sellers were found standing before wholesale shops for a long time.
