AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): Curfew has been started in Tripura's Municipal Bodies from 6 PM to 5 AM to control Corona-virus pandemic situation. Today, Agartala City was seen silenced, shuttered down as 11 hours curfew has been imposed. With the increasing COVID-19 cases in Tripura along with the whole nation, the Night Curfew has been extended from 10 PM to 5 AM in state. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar has issued an order in this regard. This decision was taken after Tripura reported COVID positivity rise. As per the rule now - Corona night curfew imposed from 6 PM to 5 AM in Agartala Municipal Corporation areas. Medical and other emergency needs and persons to maintain essential services like health, police, security, power supply, drinking water supply, media etc may be exempted. DM (West) will issue order under section L44 CrPC with specific conditions for compliance.
