AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): With the increasing Covid-19 cases in Tripura, a crisis has started as patients in GB Hospital have alleged that they are suffering due to unhygienic conditions inside the centre. The toilets are in such a miserable condition that the patients don't want to go to the toilets also. Lack of water, no cleanliness have been alleged. On the other side, poor quality foods, old foods are being served to them, such allegations are coming from GB centre patients. However, this is not the single allegation against Tripura Health system because negligence, staff crisis are day-to-day allegations of the common men who are going for treatment there. Apart from GB hospital, in other primary and sub-divisional and even in District hospitals, the conditions are unsatisfactory and sometimes patients are dying during their journeys from one hospital to another after being referred.Â
Tripura has no specific Health Minister to handle the Dept with full concentration as since former Health Minister Sudip Barman's termination, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has taken the Dept's charge who is holding multiple departments including Home Dept.
