AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): Sara Bharat Krishak Sabha has criticized the BJP led State Govt in the agriculture sector..Â
Today Krishak Sabha members led by General Secretary Pabitra Kar met the Chief Engineer and talked about the problems faced by the farmers.

In the meeting, Krishak Sabha talked about no step taken by Govt to maintain the irrigation process. In many areas machines are left damaged but no step was taken to restore the services, alleged Communist leader Pabitra Kar.
Pabitra Kar addressing media said that in CPI-M Govt's time 2.57 hectares of lands were under the irrigational scheme but now in 3 years no new project was started and huge numbers of schemes are stopped.
The Marxist leader also said, when in budget it was said that Govt has taken a pro-Farmers project in reality nothing has been done including continuation of the previous schemes and to maintain the pump machines.
